Wilson Cornett, Jr.

Wilson Cornett, Jr., 57, of Yeaddiss, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at his residence.

Born in Leslie County, he was the son of the late Wilson Cornett, Sr. and the late Nancy Jane Baker Cornett.

By occupation, Wilson was a Construction worker.  He had been a life-long resident of Leslie County and was of the Holiness faith.

Aside from working, Wilson enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Wilson was preceded in death by one son: David Fields, brothers: Elmer and Rufus Cornett; sisters: Analane Williams, Gail Harwood, Yvonne Sanders, and Carol Sue Shepherd.

Survivors include: sons Matthew Byron Cornett (Hayla) of Hallie, KY and Corey Wilson Cornett of Roark, KY; two daughters Nowell Cornett of Roark, KY and Ashley Serenity Cornett of Yeaddiss, KY; two brothers Milford Cornett and Rondall Cornett (Nadine), both of Yeaddiss, KY;  four sisters Judith Kay Cornett of Hazard, KY, Evelyn Nash Cornett (Bill) of Corbin, KY, Wanda Faye Roark (Lloyd) of Roark, KY and Marella Jayna Wooton of Wilright, KY.  Two cherished grandchildren, Zack, and Olivia Cornett, as well as one on the way.  

There will be no services for Mr. Wilson Cornett, Jr.
