W oodrow Shepherd of Asher, Kentucky, departed this walk of life on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at his residence at the age of 77.  He was born January 04, 1940 in Roark, Kentucky to the union of the late Sheldon and Verna Collett Shepherd.  Woodrow served honorably in the United States Navy as a mechanic.  By occupation, Woodrow was a successful Mechanic for the gold mine industry in California where he retired after many years of service.  Woodrow enjoyed wood work, traveling, and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Woodrow was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Joy Shepherd;  two brothers, Thomas Shepherd and Dale Shepherd.

Survivors include six brothers, Sheldon “J.R.” Shepherd, Jr. (Helen) of Essie, KY, Curtis Shepherd (Vicki) of Wooton, KY, Ernest Shepherd (Evonne) of Manchester, KY, Raymond Shepherd (Becky) of FL, Lonnie Shepherd (Nancy) of Cumberland, KY, Asher Shepherd (Linda) of Brookville, IL, and Allan Shepherd (Connie) of London, KY;  a very devoted & special friend, Cassie Mosley of Hyden, KY;
